It is always a good idea to [Print Preview] (under the [File] menu) before printing. In the print preview screen you have many options for printing the spreadsheet. So, '|| Page #p of #P' will be right aligned and say 'Page 1 of 4' on the first page of a book of 4 pages. There are more codes - see the help section 'Entering Headers and Footers'.You can select [Page Setup] under the [File] menu, or click the button on the print preview ToolBar. You are then allowed to choose [Print to Fit] which will fit all the data on one page. You can insert page breaks into your spreadsheet ([Edit][Insert Break]) before this if necessary.
You can also insert headers and footers into your spreadsheet. There are a few hidden codes which can allow your headers and footers to be formatted in a certain way:
- |
- Centre the text
- ||
- Right Align the text
- #d
- Insert today's date
- #p
- Insert the page number
- #P
- Insert the total number of pages
- #f
- Insert the spreadsheet name
- #F
- Insert the spreadsheet name and path
Printing Non-Contiguous BlocksThe print option allows you to select to print the entire NoteBook, the current page, or a specified block. |
For example, if the non-contiguous block is A:A3..B9,A:D3..E9,A:G3..G9, then printing this block will print A:A3..B9, then A:D3..E9 and finally A:G3..G9 underneath:
|
To print a non-contiguous block as a contiguous block, you must first hide the columns which are not part of the contiguous block. For example, in the non-contiguous block |
Then printing the block A:A3..G9 will put all columns adjacent to each other: Show the hidden cells again by selecting the whole page (click the top left of the NoteBook page) and under Block Properties, set the reveal/Hide tab to Reveal.
