Setting Up Quattro Pro

The behaviour of Quattro Pro can be set in the Application Properties dialogue. To run it, either right-click the Title Bar of the main window or click the Poperty button of the Property band, and choose 'Application'.

The dialogue has several tabs relating to different parts of Quattro.
The most useful parts are:

Setting Autobackup

Autobackup is set via the File Options tab.

Check the box and set the time interval between autobackups.

It is important to set this, as it saves a temporary copy of your file every interval, which it then tries to load in the event of Quattro crashing.

Tip! Quattro does have a annoying habit that if it crashes during a save then your file gets corrupted and you have no temporary autobackup file waiting to be opened. If you are working on an important file I strongly recommend that you regularly select Save As and save a copy of your file to make sure your data is not lost.

Setting Undo

Undo is set in the General tab. It is set (checked) by default.
